CT-supported 3d implant planing

Even for dentists who have had a great deal of practice, it can sometimes be difficult to reach the optimal position for the implant before setting the Supra crown construction. It is not only the substance of the jaw bone that has to considered. When positioning the implants care has to be taken that roots or nerves from neighboring teeth, and the maxillary sinus is not damaged. Furthermore the angle, where the prosthetics will be placed plays a major factor, because the new teeth must be integrated correctly with the rest so that no problems will arise in the future.

Conventional implant planing

The conventional method when dealing with implants is to use X-ray. As a result of this the insertion of the implant are than freehand. Only when carried out from a top dental surgeon, good results can be achieved.

3D-Implant planning with SimPlant®

Thanks to the computer tomography scanner technology it is possible to scan a 3 dimensional picture of the whole  jawbones. By using our Software SimPlant® we achieve an exact 3 dimensional  planning of the implants, taking all relevant parameters into consideration. An exact drilling positioning jig will be made which securly shows the therapist the correct position to drill and implanting  is done without any unnecessary unpleasantness in the patients mouth.
